Hello, I'm Jennie, the founder of Atama Spa. I derived the name from the Japanese word for "head" and combined it with "spa" to signify our focus on head spa services.

I was inspired to introduce this distinctive concept and niche service to Colorado due to its high altitude, low humidity, and extreme temperature variations that can significantly impact scalp health leading to more severe scalp issues.

I created Atama Spa to help mitigate these effects and educate individuals on how important it is to maintain   a healthy scalp and protect the scalp by adding a  scalp cleanse ritual in their self-care routine.

While Atama Spa draws inspiration from Japanese head spas, I worked meticulously to learn and master a new skill and dedicated myself to sourcing beneficial products aimed to promote hair & scalp health and techniques proven to relax the mind and body. Self-care has always held immense importance for me, which is  why I wanted to establish a space where individuals can unwind in a truly unique pampering experience, free from harsh chemicals and excessive time commitments as they begin their journey to a healthier scalp.

I think we can all agree that there is something uniquely relaxing about having your scalp massaged and your hair gently tended to, an aspect of relaxation that many self-care establishments overlook.
